The Black-American rapper further explains his motivation for the gesture. He said that “Because the only reason why I was able to chase my dreams was the empowerment that Howard gave me, the support that they gave me, the first two years.”

Black children are the group of students that is most exposed to inequality in education. They have fewer opportunities to get scholarships and enter colleges. Combs kind gesture is very timely; in a period where most Black children are unable to attain quality education due to financial needs. Kudos to the Black-American rapper for stepping in to help Black children gain a good education. The Black community should unite and contribute to the prosperity of our children so that they could have equal economic and social opportunities.
