Chibok Girls Are Offered Free Scholarship

African-American billionaire is ready to pay for the education of kidnapped Chibok girls.

Private equity mogul Robert Smith offered to give 24 Chibok girls, including the 21 young women who were released from Boko Haram captivity in October, a chance to attend American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola.

Smith is going to pay for tuition, room, board etc. at a cost of $5,000 to $11,000 a year. The 54-year-old founder of Vista Equity Partners is reported to possess a fortune of around $2.5 billion.

Smith’s actions were highly praised by the Internet users.

We completely share the last opinion. Any initiative to help Black people in need is welcome and it is especially valuable if such initiative comes from another Black person, as we are only strong when we stand together.
