BLM activists in Minneapolis and NAACP seek for revisit of Jamar Clarks’ fatal shooting by Minneapolis officer last November with a special prosecutor.
The joint BLM of Minneapolis and NAACP released a statement on their Facebook page expressing their opinion on ’s fatal shooting by Minneapolis Officers and climaxing it with a demand. In the statement it was written:
“We demand the reopening of this case and appointment of a special Prosecutor to change Officers Dustin Schwarze and Mark Ringgenberg for the murder of Jamar Clark. “Justice was not served in Jamar Clark’s case. His case is one of many examples that show that the system does not value Black Lives or Black Voices. We demand that the officers who killed Jamar Clark be held accountable under the law for their actions. We will not rest until we get justice”, said Nekima Levy-Pounds, Minneapolis NAACP President and civil rights attorney.
Black Lives Matter Minneapolis is a group of Blacks and allied organizers in Minneapolis, MN working in solidarity with the nation Black Lives Matter movement.”
According to Atlanta Black Star, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman released a statement that the deceased went into a struggle with the officers before it resulted in that fatal shooting. Also Clark allegedly told officers he was ready to die during the altercation. BLM activists found all these accusations fictitious, including Clark’s cousin.
“I know my cousin didn’t tell that officer he was ready to die,” Cameron Clark told local CBS News last week. “I know he didn’t, and for Mike Freeman to make that story up, and lie like that, he’s got blood on his hands. And that’s all I’m going to say.”
It’s unfortunate that Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman is covering up for a killer. This shows clearly the level of bias the justice system has become. Justice must be served.
