Soccer Star Sydney Leroux Responds To Instagram Trolls

“I have to remind you that this is MY body”, Olympic Gold Medalist Sydney Leroux responds to haters on Instagram.

As U.S. soccer star Sydney Leroux gets ready to receive her first child come September, she shares on Instagram  a photo of her tubing on a lake, which racist internet trolls find disturbing.

After series of awful comments such as “you just killed your baby”, “you’re going to give birth to a dead fetus”, Leroux responded reminding them about whose body they were talking about.

Leroux said “MY body is the body that is creating life. MY body is the one that has stretch marks and cellulite and varicose veins and sore hips and back pain that runs down my legs. MY body is the body that is tired and sore and emotional and the happiest it’s ever been.”

Leroux has been sharing posts about her pregnancy on Instagram and her website, explaining how it feels like to be a pregnant woman.

In one of her posts she wrote, saying, “I truly wish I could be one of those pregnant women who wake up every day happy, and feeling that ‘pregnancy glow,’ but I don’t always feel that way. Most of the time I’m just in pain, my stomach feels like something is stabbing me from the inside and my hips feel like someone is ripping off my legs.” But above all that, what truly matters is when she would finally have to look at her son with a smiling face and know that it all worth it.

It’s a fact that Black celebrities and Black people in general usually become subjects of racist troll attacks on different social networks. However, it is not that easy to get down a strong Black person. Blacks are used to face racism practically everywhere and they have learned either to ignore to or to laugh off it.
