Police have arrested a 42-year-old white mom and her two sons, who beat and almost drowned a black teen in Chicago.
Over the week a racist mother Carrie Weller and her sons Corry and Shane attacked a 15-year-old African-American at the Canton Lake campground. Weller and her sons used racial slurs at the teen while he and his friends were playing by a river bank. They rattled and later tried to drown him in the river.
The black teen’s mother Tina Foley, who was at the scene said, “They started beating him up and held him underwater until he was pretty much not breathing.”
Shortly after the incident, the three were arrested and charged with battery, mob action and hate crime.
Victim’s brother, Jordan Foley, said, “I’m proud to be from Illinois, because I tell people from Alabama, you know, it’s not like that up there. And hell, here I’ve got a video of people trying to drown my brother, call him the n-word.”
Is racism a gene or ‘family thing’ that can be transferred from one generation to another?
How fair is our system of justice? Just holding the little boy’s head in water is an attempted murder. But Weller and her sons are instead charged with the white-people’s crimes.
