Time To End Injustice In Our Communities

“It is time for people to really rise up against this injustice that’s been going on for too long,” a protester says during a BLM event.

An event sponsored by Black Lives Matter brought hundreds of protesters together in Brooklyn on Thursday April 14. It focused on issues related to higher wages for fast food workers and more.

One of the protesters Nicholas Heyward, whose 13-year-old innocent son was murdered by an officer 22 years ago, was asked to express his taught about police brutal killings of black men and women.

“It is time for people to really rise up against this injustice that’s been going on for too long. All of these peaceful protests are soon going to end. We are not going to continue these peaceful protests while you murder our children,” Heyward told reporters.

According to reports, the District Attorney will at last review the death of the black teenager after 22 years of injustice. The spokesman for the DA’s office stated: “We are in the process of looking into this tragic case and will review the original investigation.

There are many cases like these unjustified killings of African-Americans , which have been buried for decades, but with the help of activists and groups such as Black Lives Matter, justice is served to those in need. We will continue fight to the end for what’s right.
