City Of Flint Turns Its “Mourning Into Movie” – Lifetime Fast-Tracked

The residents of Flint want to turn their misery into a story, through a movie.

Flint is a city that has gone through the challenges of finding drinkable water for over two years now. However, they have refused to live under frustrations and have decided to turn their “mourning into dancing,” by putting the problems they have faced for the past two years on tape, according to Colorlines.

The film will cover all what the Flint Water Advisory Task Force called “a story of government failure, intransigence, unpreparedness, delay, inaction and environmental injustice.”  According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network made a confirmation on April 12, Tuesday, that the movie will tackle one of the topmost headlines.

This is a perfect stage for the city of Flint to tell their story to the entire world, especially the black residents who were exposed to this dreadful water poisoning, because of a single man’s selfish interest and choosing money over residents’ welfare.

It’s time to tell people the truth about Flint crisis and criminal actions of Governor Snyder, and how for two years the government has ignored complaints of black people and their suffering.

We hope that the film will feature the length, breadth, width and depth of the challenges residents have gone through and no hidden facts.
