Racist Graffiti Appears At San Leandro Park

An investigation is being conducted by the police on a racist graffiti, which was found yesterday at San Leandro Park, California.

According to Police Officers, a racial slur, directed at Hispanics and African-Americans, was painted by an unknown person or group of people at a playground in San Leandro, California. This was a drawing of a man along with the number 14, which is connected to the Norteno gang, according to the police.

In an interview with ABC7 News, the Officials said that they believe the drawings appeared on Saturday night and their first suspicion goes to a group based in Hayward.

Parents also showed their discomfort with the vandalism occurred on the park walls. “It’s disturbing especially with little kids. I don’t think they should be doing this, especially when there are kids and it’s a public place where you’re not supposed to be showing that to little kids,” Jazmine Ramos resident Jazmine Ramos said.
