African-American History Museum Exhibit To Tell About Baltimore Unrest

African-American History Museum Exhibit called “More Than a Picture” will feature the works of local photographer Devin Allen.

Devin Allen became popular after demonstrating powerful photos from the riots following the death of Freddie Gray. Now his works will become a part of a huge exhibition.

‘More Than a Picture Picture’ opens May 5, in African-American History Museum, it will showcase more than 150 photographs from historical moments, events and experiences throughout American history, including the civil rights movement, Hurricane Katrina and the uprisings in Ferguson.


You’ll also see the portraits of legends like Maryland abolitionist Frederick Douglass, sociologist and NAACP founder W.E.B. Du Bois; actress and rapper Queen Latifah; and supermodel Grace Jones.
