Media Ignores Colin Kaepernick’s Truthful Comments

The NFL player made a very factual statement about a presidential candidate, but has been bashed by the media for sitting, while the national anthem was on.

Colin Kaepernick has been the talk of the town recently, following his decision to sit down while the national anthem was being played. But his statements defending his decision and comments regarding the present state of the country’s politics have been completely ignored by the media.

During an interview on Sunday, the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers was asked whether the state of political affairs in the country prompted him to stay seated for the national anthem, he replied: “It wasn’t a timing thing, it wasn’t something that was planned. But I think the two presidential candidates that we currently have also represent the issues that we have in this country right now.”

The 28-year-old then proceeded to talk about having to make a choice between two presidential candidates that aren’t good enough to lead the country. “We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?” he said.

Kaepernick’s statements have been ignored by the corporate media, as the statements don’t fit into the political agenda the media pushes. Instead, the media focused on the player’s ‘unpatriotic behavior’.

What is this country really standing for? We cannot support candidates that are not credible. The fact that a presidential candidate deleted over 30,000 classified emails, but is still running for the presidential post, just shows how corrupt the system is. How can we vote for these people? Where are they going to lead us to?
