Justice For Charles Kinsey: Unarmed Black Man Shot By Police Again!

“I’m going to the ground, just like this with my hands up. And I’m laying down here just like this. And I’m telling him again, 'Sir, there’s no need for firearms. I’m unarmed, this is an autistic guy. He has a toy truck in his hand,’” said Charles Kinsey describing the moment when he was shot by police.

Charles Kinsey, an unarmed behavioral therapist trying to calm his autistic patient was shot by police even though he had his hands up, was totally complying and asked the officer not to shoot. Luckily enough, the bullet went through his leg which posed a non-life threatening injury. When the victim asked the officer why he was shot, the officer simply said, “I don’t know”.

North Miami woke up to the news of this brutality meted out on an innocent, unarmed behavioral therapist who acted to save the life of his patient. The on-duty therapist was only calming his autistic patient who had run out of a group home.

According to North Miami police, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man with a gun threatening to commit suicide. On the scene, the police mistook the object in the suspect’s hand for a gun. In fact, the suspect, the autistic patient, had a toy truck in his hand which was nowhere near the shape of a gun.

This incident comes to confirm our assertion that cops do not know how to deal with mentally-ill people. The fact that the therapist was worried about his patient’s life says a lot. Police seem to do everything possible to confirm the belief that they are undertrained and not qualified enough to respond 911 calls about mentally unstable people.

It is highly disgracing to note that the video of the incident has been tempered with. It is so because it does not contain the actual shooting. It might have been edited by either CBS4 or Hilton Napoleon who provided the video. This is a real conspiracy at play.

Additionally, we shouldn’t forget that the shooting happened in North Miami. And North Miami Beach Police are notorious for using mug shots of African-Americans for target practice.

Who will argue the fact that the North Miami Beach Police are racially insensitive after seeing that all the six mug shots used at the firing range feature only Black suspects? Who will argue that Black Lives Matter after this horrible shooting and this careless ‘IDK’?
