The Every 28 Hours Plays

The #Every28Hours Plays Festival is a day of community and a presentation of provocative one-minute plays developed in Ferguson, Missouri, with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Salvage Vanguard Theater and Viceroys — in collaboration with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the One-Minute Play Festival and Black Lives Matter — bring you an opportunity to celebrate the rich culture of East Austin and engage with leaders of the black community in discussions on imperative sociopolitical topics. The day culminates in a presentation of rapid-fire 60-second plays rooted in the #Every28Hours statistic, establishing that a person of color becomes the victim of police brutality with the passing of each 28th hour.

You’re invited to the movement on October 22, 2016 at HUSTON-TILLOTSON UNIVERSITY.

Schedule: 6 PM – 9 PM

Location: Huston-Tillotson University Student Union

Tickets: FREE | Walk-up tickets available
