Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

The Center for Social Justice’s MLK Jr. Day of Service unites Georgetown and the DC community through service, reflection, and celebration. Registration opens at 9:30 am with a breakfast of bagels and coffee and concludes with a celebration and BBQ lunch at Cesar Chavez Parkside High School. Transportation to and from
campus will be provided. Service at community partner sites will vary from cleaning and painting to outdoors beautification to sandwich making to assembling hypothermia outreach kits. In addition to registering here, please also register at csj.georgetown.edu/mlk and enter “DC Alumni” for GO card number. You may also register on site the day of the event.

In honoring Dr. King’s legacy, we are inspired by his words, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
