Indigenous Peoples’ Day Rally

We’ll be renewing our annual protest against Columbus Day on Monday, October 10th. But this year, we’ll also have reason to celebrate! The Lincoln City Council has unanimously passed a resolution to declare the second Monday of October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

We’ll be on the sidewalk along the Federal Building, along the O Street side from 5 PM to around 6. We’ll also be joining this other action at the Capitol at 6 PM: https://www.facebook.com/events/1103535253068085/

We encourage you to attend one or both of these, as your schedule permits. We will have signs made up, and we will also provide blank posterboards and markers to create your own signs.
