Film Screening of The Black Panther: Vanguard of the Revolution

Join us at 7 pm on February 12th to watch and discuss THE BLACK PANTHERS: VANGUARD OF THE REVOLUTION. This new documentary explores the Black Panther Party, its significance to the broader American culture, and its cultural and political awakening for Black people.

In the 1960’s there was a mass movement for change in America. The fault lines could no longer be ignored—cities were burning, Vietnam was exploding, and disputes raged over equality and civil rights. A new revolutionary culture was emerging and it sought to drastically transform the system. The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense was at the vanguard of that change. VANGUARD OF THE REVOLUTION is a story of power, triumph and life lessons.

Suggested of $5 donation for entry, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Take the 6 to 116th to get to the Justice Center!
