BRAVE Summit 2017: The Recognition of the Black Woman


Join us for the second annual BRAVE Summit as we celebrate what it means to be BRAVE and combat the pervasive media coverage and replacing it with the truth, our truth. This year’s theme? 2017: The Recognition of the Black Woman.

Speakers include: Co-founder of DC Black Lives Matter Erika Totten, Campaign Zero’s Johnetta Elzie, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, For Harriet Founder Kimberly Foster, founder of #OscarsSoWhite April Reign and granddaughter of one of the “Hidden Figures,” Miriam “Duchess” Harris.

Date: Saturday, March 25th, 2017.
Time: Registration begins at 9AM. First panel goes on at 10AM.

***In partnership with Georgetown University Lecture Fund, the keynote, Mayor Muriel Bowser, will be free and open to the public, with doors opening at 4:00 PM and the keynote beginning at 4:15 PM.
