Black Relationships, Sexuality and Family: Clinical Practice


This workshop explores how historical,social,political,economic,gender,and racial constructs have informed the interpersonal relationships of the black communities. It’s important for the culturally humble practitioner to understand that the most effective clinical approaches and modalities offer the best opportunity to achieve the desired outcomes. This workshop is ideal for the student, advocate, therapist, counselor, educator, and other helping professional. The facilitator discusses establishing cultural assessment, cultural and linguistic humility, ethical practice, theoretical approaches and techniques, techniques in office and outside office for clients, and more.
