If you want to take a stand to the police brutality that is happening nationwide, if you want to take a stand to racial profiling, incarceration, oppression, and unjustifiable murder, come and be apart of the Black Lives Matter March. In a town that has an infamous discriminatory reputation, come join us to be a voice for not only those who can not speak, but those who have to live every day like it may be their last. Black lives matter as much as all other lives and we will not be silenced.
We will meet outside of the milkhouse on 620 S. Grandview Ave. at 2pm on Sunday, November 20th. From there, we will march over a mile to make our voices heard. Signs will be provided, but please feel free to make your own. We will also have Black Lives Matter shirts, including long sleeve and sweatshirts available, so I encourage you to purchase one in black, so we can march in solidarity in all forms. T-shirts are $10, long sleeve $15, and $25 for sweatshirts.
We will have tables set up at the end of the March to submit your suggestions for the change you would like to see to president elect, Donald J. Trump. We will also be taking and attaching your photograph (with your approval only, of course) to the index card to personalize your unique request.
If you are interested in being apart of this monumental march, but do not have a means of reliable transportation, please contact me via Facebook, or at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to provide you with a ride, as we are offering carpooling for this exciting event.
