This march is put a period at the end of our weeks demonstrations. The march is to show solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement and what it stands for on the Creighton Campus. The march is to also help show others that the Creighton community is willing to be there for others who feel strongly on the matter as well as be beside them in this possible time of need.
The movement, while might spark some controversial debate, is seen by the individual Creighton students who wanted to lead this movement on campus, is something that needs to be done and shown to the public. We would like both the panel, on Wednesday Oct. 5th, and the march to really express what the Black Lives Matter movement is truly about and why we believe, like others, that it is a vital and important conversation to be having.
