Fresno violent protesters waved Confederate flag, “White Lives Matter” signs and shouted racial slurs after cops had fatally shot Dylan Noble,19.

Dozens of angry and violent white protesters stormed a gas station in Fresno, California Sunday, June 26, waving Confederate flag and “White Lives Matter” signs, vandalizing property and shouting racial slurs, in response to police fatal shooting of a 19-year-old white teen, Dylan Noble.

19-year-old Dylan Noble was shot several times by two Fresno police officers Saturday, June 25, after being stopped for speeding.

According to the police report, Noble refused to maintain the order. He drove for about half a mile before slowing down. The police rained bullets on Noble, thinking that he was reaching the gun, as he got out of his car and didn't show his hands to the officers. Teen suffered from gunshot wounds and died the day after in a hospital.

The Fresno Police Deputy Chief, Pat Farmer, however, said, “Initially we did not find a weapon on his person, we have yet to do a thorough search of the pickup truck he was driving in.”

As the family of the deceased gathered Sunday night for a vigil at the scene where Noble was shot dead, protesters were busy setting off fireworks, blocking roads, breaking bottles and shouting f**k the police, but none of them has been arrested. Here is time to remember Ferguson protests, isn’t it?

The illogical acts of white people, who for some reason dragged to the protests Confederate flag, have nothing to do with police killings, but to mock protests of Black people. Finally, the usage of plagiarized "White Lives Matter" signs shows disrespect towards Black people, who came up with the phrase in response to the racism and discrimination against Blacks.

The American Red Cross found itself in hot water over a pool safety poster that depicts Black children in a negative light

Unfortunately, racism is something that follows Black people in all aspects of our life. We've written a lot about the racism and segregation in the healthcare. Now the organization we believed was one of the most human and caring loses it's points because of the racist poster they used to talk with children about the pool safety.

When Margaret Sawyer (who is not Black, by the way) first saw this safety poster titled “Be Cool, Follow the Rules" at a pool in Salida, Colorado, she didn't like it at all.

When she saw it for a second time at an entirely different pool, she thought she was living somewhere in the middle of the 20th century. The reason is most of the white children pictured were labeled "cool" while the majority of Black children were branded "not cool" for breaking the rules.

Luckily, Mrs. Sawyer didn't leave the posters be and made a great Facebook post calling for the retraction and replacing the posters at pools across the country:

Additionally, an organization called "Black Kids Swim" started the Change.org campaign asking Red Cross to build collaborations with organizations who actively work to promote diversity in swimming. You can sign it here.

And though the Red Cross issued a statement on Monday apologizing for the controversial poster, the very idea of it and the fact that it was printed out and used in public places are not cool!

I bet the staff who made the poster and those who were in charge of the project were all white people. Anyway, this kind of message is inappropriate and disturbing. The team that failed such an easy task - to stay tolerant in their work - should be properly punished.

How Do Blacks And Whites See Race?

Researchers found out that Blacks and Whites are “sharply divided,” adding that “for many Blacks, racial equality remains an elusive goal.”

Many people wonder how Blacks and Whites consider race and racial issues. Everyone has their own opinion which can lead to either misunderstanding (if we do not agree) or promoting unity (if we consent to it).

In a recent report where thousands of people were asked about racism, the results were remarkable as Blacks are pay much more attention to the impact of the skin color.

When they were asked if this country could ever reach a point where Blacks would be treated the same way like Whites, about 40% of them doubt it. In nearly every sphere measured, including police brutality against Blacks, BLM, politics and presidency, "there's a huge polarization between black and white Americans," said Pew’s center worker, Juliana Horowitz.

According to the report, “blacks are about twice as likely as whites to point to discrimination as a major reason that some blacks have a harder time getting ahead.”

Both parties do not regard the nature of racism.

However, “Blacks are far more likely – at 71% – to say they have personally experienced discrimination in their lives," Horowitz said. "Yet 3 in 10 whites also say they have been treated differently because of their race. On the other hand, when asked if their race has made life harder, 40% of blacks said it had while only 5% of white people said it had for them."

These results are not surprising as it’s not a secret for anyone that Blacks are the most affected group speaking about race. The part of the problem is white people’s negligence towards discrimination and racism issues. They either ignore it or support it. Well, of course, enjoying white privileges is more pleasant than fight it in the society.

The truth was rediscovered about an African-American (an enslaved man) who had taught Jack Daniel how to make whiskey.

During the 150th anniversary of one of the most famous alcohol drinks in the world, the Jack Daniel’s whiskey brand decided to share the essence of the brand.

It is interesting to know that for more than a century, the company’s history has been centered on the notion that their founder, Jack Daniel, was taught how to produce whiskey by Dan Call, a minister.

In recent tour organized during the anniversary, the company has revealed the real man behind the scenes. His name is Nearis Green.

According to the company, it has never been a secret, but they decided to claim it loudly right now during the celebration.

“It’s taken something like the anniversary for us to start to talk about ourselves,” said Jack Daniel’s in-house historian Nelson Eddy.

The role that Green acted in Jack Daniel’s whiskey-making process was attributed in the 1967 biography, “Jack Daniel’s Legacy,” by Ben A. Green. In the book, Nearis Green was told to teach Daniel everything he knows.

In those days, enslaved Black-Americans had their own traditions of alcohol production.

Still the question remains, why has the company refused to say anything about it until now?

After he was not given the credit for 150 years, why now?

In any case, we have already known that African-Americans from the time of slavery have been paying their contributions to the country’s history and development. It is only a mystery for the white people, who believe that American history is all about them. They prefer to ignore or even hide Black people's achievements, enjoying their own uniqueness.

Cop uses excessive force and dangerously slams a non-violent Black man to the ground for refusing to sit on the floor like a slave.

In a disturbing violent video posted on Facebook, we can see a Philadelphia police officer abusing his power and assaulting a handcuffed unnamed Black man who was only standing for his rights. The cop, who had been angered by bystanders taking a video of the arrest of this innocent man, commanded him to sit on the floor like a slave but he refused.

Meanwhile officer was shouting at him and trying to frighten him, but the man remained resolved in his dignity to stand.

The situation went tense when police officer asked the Black man to provide his ID, but he didn’t react immediately to the demand and therefore was handcuffed. He did not resist the arrest but tried to explain to the police officer that he couldn’t hear him while he had earphones on.

“I had my headphones in. Obviously, I couldn’t hear you,” explains the young Black man.

This reasonable explanation didn't impress the officer. So, when the man refused to follow humiliating instructions, which were made just to please cop’s self-importance, the police officer poked the man’s chest and smashed him to the concrete by the karate move. He was just lucky the victim didn’t fall at a different angle; it would have been really painful or could even result in some serious injuries.

By the way, police officer broke his duty regulations by using such excessive force against the handcuffed man who wasn’t resisting at all, because it is unlawful for a cop to use force until the subject actively resists.

Most of the American cops don’t understand that they should protect the law, but not to create the law. They believe that people should do whatever they say, no matter how justified their orders are.

Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar opened the 2016 BET Awards with an explosive performance on “Freedom” Sunday night.

Seeing this performance live was a thing to delight. Artists have in many ways surprised their viewers, but Beyoncé and Kendrik Lamar have left the most of them behind. Their joint show made the opening of the annual ceremony unforgettable.

The 34-year-old Black stunning artist blew up the stage in a black leotard while her female troupe of dancers was heating up the audience. It was a night show dedicated to celebrate African-Americans and other minorities in every sphere of entertainment.

First it was only Beyoncé to perform on the stage, and then Kendrick Lamar joined her to drive the viewers crazy together.

Even though people said that the show was too low for Beyoncé, it didn’t deter her from going and supporting her fellow African-Americans who were also going to perform. She is an inspiration and an anchor in the music world to many Black young artists.

It’s important to mention that besides charming music, Beyoncé is doing a great social work by supporting protesters and addressing police brutality issue. Despite her fame, she never forgets about roots; she is proud of being Black and we are proud to see her succeed.

David Ragain and Jessy Reed were arrested in St. Louis for throwing eggs at a Black woman standing at a bus stop.

Two modern-day white supremacists have chosen the ridiculous way to demonstrate their foolishness. On Friday evening, David Ragain and Jessy Reed, both about 30-years-old, decided to throw eggs at a Black woman who was peacefully standing at a bus stop. Besides this reckless behavior, they were shouting racial slurs towards her, evidently in order to clarify their motive.

Ragain and Reed were arrested by St. Louis Police and they face charges of "assault motivated by discrimination," a 3rd degree felony. Bail is set at $20.000.

According to St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson, "These weren't two white teenagers on a joy ride." Well, it seems these were two white adults on a HATE ride.

Reports reaching the police allege that other African-Americans waiting at bus stops along the same route were struck by eggs, too. Therefore police believe that it was not their first time of committing such crimes. So, Blacks who have been assaulted by these young men are welcomed to come forward and file charges.

The racial discrimination in US is taking more and more stupid and disgusting forms. Actions of some whites make your doubt about their sanity and intellect. It is sad to imagine that this kind of archaic habit still exists in the 21st century in America.

A rally held by white nationalists near the state Capitol turned physical

We live in a society so pervaded by hatred and intolerance that people of different nations unleash their fury on each other in broad daylight. That’s what happened on Sunday in Sacramento, which turned into a violent battlefield.

The mutual anger of members of a white nationalist group and counter-protesters spilled onto the streets on Sunday noon, when the Traditional Worker Party was officially permitted to stage a rally outside the state Capitol. The fight broke out after about 30 TWP members gathered for a rally, and were met by about 400 counter-protesters. The confrontation resulted in a clash in which a total of 10 people suffered multiple stab and laceration wounds.

The leader of TWP, Matt Parrott, sees the rally as a part of the backlash over leftist radicals’ violence they allegedly instigated at many of the Republican candidate's rallies.

To us, the rally was nothing short of an attempt of white nationalists to promote their racial ideology with the aid of authorities. What else can it be when Black people are called “professional agitators” in public and treated like thugs? Not only the government allows hundreds of white supremacists enjoy their freedom, but it also grants them permission to gather and diminish Blacks.

“I’m not the president of Black America” – President Barack H. Obama

About eight years, just after Barack Obama won the presidential election, we were all excited and filled with hope that a savior had come to change America into a paradise. But what Black Americans failed to realize was that the President was just a disguise of the white power.

President Obama achieved many of his goals in his first two years, such as getting his signature on the health care bill, restoring the economy, rescuing the banks and bailing out the automobile industry. Some of his polices were exceedingly fantastic.

When he was given a second chance in 2012, he grabbed that opportunity to fight “segregation in housing” and “discriminatory policing”.

However, Obama, with all his good deeds, failed to handle some of the most challenging issues Black Americans face. Some applaud him, but many are disappointed because of how he has addressed race in the country.

At some instances, it seemed that President Obama’s decisions had been dictated by his white cabinet as he showed utter disregard to black criticism and almost never used his 'race card' to eliminate disparities in the country.

By his actions, it was very clear that he had little interest for the Black community. When Flint, Michigan, a predominantly black city, had water crisis, it took him ages to pay them a visit. What is more surprising is when Obama told his people, who trusted and elected him in the first place, that he was “not the president of Black America”.

All the above mentioned together with president's lack of involvement into the “specific issues of race and poverty” made Black voters believe these words.

Chief William T. Riley III hopes to revolutionize policing in Michigan.

It’s already been ten months since William T. Riley III was appointed as Chief of Police in Inkster, Michigan. He was to rebrand the majority-white police force so that the State would once again be safe from brutal and racist cops.

On his first day at work, the stern police chief strictly warned his officers, saying, “It would not bother me one iota if I had to fire every one of you. I don’t owe you nothing. So don’t screw up.”

Riley was hired from his post as police chief of Selma to replace Vicki Yost, who resigned just after the city settled a $1.38M lawsuit with an African-American brutalized by a 49-year-old white officer, William Melendez. The situation was drastic, citizens of color have lost their trust into police and the decision was made to diversify law enforcement at the highest level.

So far, Riley has been working relentlessly to rebuild trust between citizens and the police union. At the moment we can not report any dramatic changes.

As Rome wasn’t built in a day, Riley said in an interview that, “Fixing this all isn’t going to be easy”, but with the cooperation of officers, they can all recreate a better Michigan.

The pressure on Riley is huge; he stands alone against his department and a lot depends on how strong he will turn to be. Some officers should have been fired long ago.

One man cannot do all, but we wish William T. Riley III the best of luck in teaching Michigan police to respect citizens of all colors.

Manhattan Beach Fire Department is investigating an arson attack on black family that could be regarded as a hate crime.

A wealthy African-American family of five was targeted by an arsonist on 11th Street in Manhattan. Their $3.5 million mansion was blasted with a burning tire that cause over $200,000 damage.

One of the victims, Ron Clinton, explained that someone used a car tire and accelerants to bomb their house while they were sleeping. They were lucky to escape without injuries.

Since Ron and his family are the only rich black people living in that area, they believe that the attack was a hate crime. Ron reported that there have been incidents where a drug paraphernalia and trashes were placed near their front door months ago.

Manhattan Beach Police Department refused to investigate the incident; instead, they handed the investigation to the Fire Department. The Fire Department however told News Report that they are investigating the incident as a potential arson.

Ron said they had no beef with anybody, but it seems that white supremacists just hate Blacks who have made it in life. To them, it sounds impossible to be Black and rich. Any positive thing about Black people provokes them, but the police, as usual, prefer not to act until it’s too late.

After 3 years since the release of Shelby v. Holder ruling Black people in many states are still being deprived from their voting rights.

When the U.S. Supreme Court passed on a ruling that limited the Voting Rights Act, many people, especially African-Americans, had been already deprived from their franchise rights. The situation with racism was not as good as it seemed and it still isn't.

Even before the Supreme Court’s decision was fully materialized Texas and few other states had already implemented voter-ID laws that would prevent many citizens from voting.

Most of these laws, which would have been prohibited through Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, were to marginalize black voters and deprive them of having a voice in local elections.

But despite being cast out of polls and even being less protected, black communities continue to fight for their rights. Although Shelby v. Holder ruling discarded protection of preclearance review for changes to voting laws, voters of color should not relent in challenging new laws implemented in courts, as not all of them are legal. And as we approach November 8 elections, those that will have the opportunity to vote must choose leaders, who are ready to serve the interests of Black people.

74-year-old convicted Ex-Oklahoma deputy Robert Bates, who fatally shot unarmed Black man, Eric Harris, says he’d been “pretty much condemned”.

Robert Bates spoke from jail over the week, expressing dissatisfaction about his four-year prison sentence for killing a 44-year-old unarmed African-American, Eric Courtney Harris, during a sting operation in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bates admitted being guilty, but said his conviction was like a death sentence, since he’s already 74.

“I just made a mistake. It was an accident. I didn’t do it on purpose. That’s the one thing that has pretty much ruined my life. I’m probably done. I mean, I don’t want to die in prison but I suppose it’s a good possibility,” he said during an interview.

According to reports, Bates, who had retired from an insurance company, bribed the police department to become one of them. Because of his close relationship with Tulsa Sheriff Stanley Glanz, he bypassed the 480 hours field training that is required to be an officer. An investigation found out that Bates had given thousands of dollars in cash, vehicles and equipment to the department. Thus Bates’ wish to ‘play an officer’ cost Harris his life.

He spoke from jail, saying, “I regret the whole thing. I regret that I ever decided to try to give something back to the community.”

Bates’ conviction is just one of the white-privilege sentences in the country. A white man charged with murder is sentenced to only 4 years in jail and still complains of him not surviving the term, but a black man, who commits no crime, can be sent to more than 8 years in jail. Others like George Zimmerman, who killed 17-year-old African-American Trayvon Martin, go scot-free. That's a shame!

Devin James, an author of a book about Ferguson 2014 riots, was acquitted Friday, June 6, for allegedly hitting a patrol officer last August.

James and his fiancée, Alicia Campbell, were stopped by a Nebraska State Patrol officer, Kyle Gress, on August 27, 2015 for speeding. Though both of them claim they were stopped for “driving while black.”

Officer Gress claimed that James and Campbell hit him on the arm when he tried to open the car. Gress reported that he was injured while James held him and while trying to get free, he broke the car window.

Gress asked Campbell, who was driving, to get out of the car, but James kept on asking why they were stopped. They argued about why Campbell needed to get out of the car, if she wasn’t under arrest. Gress mentioned that he needed to follow protocols.

James and Campbell were charged with assault of a patrol officer. They were both found not guilty, Campbell however was found guilty of not complying to lawful order.

James was grateful to those who helped him through the case. "I want to thank God, my family and all the people who supported me through this extremely traumatic and exhaustive experience. I also want to thank the members of the jury for their service," he said in a statement.

James and Campbell were lucky to call for help in time; they called 911, as the intentions of the officer were not very clear. They had a baby in the car and didn't want to risk. The situation could have ended in violence, which often happens in case of disagreements between black people and police.

It was also very clever of James to record the incident on video so that he could provide proof of his words. There were many points in the officer Gress’ testimony, which seemed just to target the black couple and not tell the real course of events.

We congratulate Mr. James and Ms. Campbell on the acquittal of unjust charges and hope they will serve a good example of non-violent behavior towards a biased officer.

House drops bill to ban Confederate flags at national cemeteries.

Democrats and Republicans in Congress voted in May in favor of a measure to ban and get rid of all Confederate flags in veteran cemeteries, but it was deliberately dropped from the final version of the legislation on Tuesday, June 21.

Republican Carlos Curbelo told News Report, “I think it should have been kept in. The House passed this amendment.” Curbelo explained that the Confederate flag “should not be a national symbol for the country”, as it symbolizes hate and white supremacy.

A spokeswoman of the appropriations committee reported why they had to drop the measure saying, “In order to ensure passage in both the House and Senate and get these urgently needed funds approved, compromises had to be made.”

Some of the politicians, who support the Confederate flag, have their own motives, which are too far from protecting the interests of black people, and it would be important for the community to know their names and avoid voting for them.

There are many less controversial ways, to show respect to veterans, who fought and died for this country than commemorating them with the flag, which was later partly used by KKK.

Having these flags in public promotes racism and hatred in communities. Killers like Dylann Roof used it as a symbol of their ideology; under it they murdered innocent Black men and women.

A new study shows that many African-Americans have a different perception of depression.

A research conducted by Sirry Alang, a Pennsylvania Lehigh University assistant professor of sociology and anthropology, shows that many of blacks see depression as a sign of weakness and not a health issue.

Alang spent a whole year, visiting Black communities, churches, salons, to figure out how African-Americans deal with depression.

She noted that “it is impossible to effectively diagnose and treat depression among African Americans if their perspectives about depression are not taken into account.”

The study reveals that many African-Americans not only experienced insomnia or excessive sleeping, loss of interest in activities, inability to concentrate, which are the general symptoms of depression, but also anger, agitation and the need for human interaction.

Alang recommended that medical practitioners learn to recognize the unique symptoms of depression in Black communities by not limiting diagnostic measures to only the existing depression symptom manual.

Unfortunately, due to racial bias common for many doctors thousands of Black men and women live in constant depression, which contributes in their socioeconomic status, adversely affecting their work efficiency and general attitude and leading to unemployment and poverty. Depression is a disease that requires treatment and if untreated, it has a lot of negative consequences and even provokes involvement into criminal activity.

Racial and economic disparities have great impact on one's state of being. Nowadays Black people are in a closed circle: adults below the poverty line are more likely to have mental issues and blacks in general are more stressed compared to whites, which leads to depression and subsequently, lower standard of living.

Who then killed 25-year-old Freddie Gray, if no one could be held responsible?

The evidence of injustice in U.S. popped out again Thursday, June 23, in Freddie Gray’s case as Circuit Judge Barry Williams announced verdict for Caesar Goodson Jr., one of the suspects, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter, manslaughter by vehicles (gross negligence and criminal negligence), second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office.

Just after Goodson’s not guilty announcement, Baltimore Police Union called on State Attorney Marilyn Mosby to drop all charges against five remaining officers, none of which has been convicted yet.

The union simply sent a message that Mosby is wasting her time because, if Goodson, who faced the most serious charges, was set free, how much longer will it take judges to let the others with lesser charges go scot-free also.

Attorney Mosby, losing Goodson’s case, is however blamed, by some critics, for being ineffective. But despite Mosby being pressured by state officials, she determines to protect black people and fight for the right course. Now, when all killer cops of this country heaved a sigh of relief, her noble task became more difficult and more urgent.

This gives a clear view of how dead our justice system has become. Who then could be responsible for the death of a young African-American, beaten and brutalized by cops?

Black Lives Matter and community groups say more police at San Francisco’s Sunday Pride Parade will cause panic.

Black Lives Matter and other activist groups decided Friday, June 24, not to participate in San Francisco’s LGBT Pride Parade scheduled for Sunday after the organizers increased the number of police that will be present.

San Francisco Police Department and parade organizers announced that there will be tight security measures during parade due to recent Orlando mass shootings that left 49 people dead.

BLM officials, as parade grand marshal, disapproved of the city’s decision and decided not to join the event, stating that, “increasing the police presence at Pride does not increase safety for all people.”

Malkia Cyril, a Black Lives Matter official, explained that “as queer people of color, we are disproportionately targeted by both vigilante and police violence. We know firsthand that increasing the police presence at Pride does not increase safety for all people.” Cyril continued, stating that, “militarizing these events increases the potential for harm to our communities and we hope in the future SF Pride will consider community-centered approaches to security at pride events.”

One thing that comes in mind is how BLM activists are targeted to be jailed. These police officers are sent not just to try and arrest innocent Black people, but mostly activists, who stand their way. The more officers are present at the event, the more possible arrests can be made and such a big event can give lots of causes. 20-year-old Ferguson protester, Josh Williams, who confronted violent cops to say no to police brutality, can serve as an example of such practice applied. He was sent to jail for eight years.

Besides, Police didn't protect Orlando club, they didn't arrest Dylann Roof before he killed a lot of people. Whom at all can they protect?

Henrico County Cierra Mayes explains how terrified she was when 54-year-old Thomas Lee Campbell vandalized her car and threatened her with a gun.

In an interview with CBS 6, a young African-American woman from Virginia, Cierra Mayes, explained a Sunday morning dispute that occurred between her and Thomas Lee Campbell over a residential parking lot.

According to reports, Campbell got upset after a black woman parked in front of his house during a community yard sale. He vandalized Mayes car with tree branches and left a note on her windshield, saying F**K you.

Mayes said, "I noticed someone was hurrying down their driveway so I went to the door and I knocked and I rang the doorbell but immediately he came out yelling, saying racial comments."

She explained that she was shocked when Campbell, after confronting him about the note, went back inside his house and brought a gun to threaten her. “He points it at me, and then pulls it back up. I literally just froze, because I've never been in a situation where a gun was that close to me and someone was actually pointing it at me,” she said.

A witness who saw the incident testified about Campbell pointing his gun at Mayes and yelling racial slurs. At some point in time, Campbell went inside again and brought a confederate flag, waving it and cursing.

Police later intervened and arrested Campbell. He was charged with vandalism and brandishing a firearm. Campbell should also be charged with hate crime for calling the poor black woman racial slurs and punished accordingly, as justice is what the community looks for.

Black teen, who was helping customers to carry their purchases in a grocery store, hoping to earn some food, has finally received enough money to start a new life.

The life of a sad and hungry looking 16-year-old African-American in Tennessee, Chauncy Jones, has changed for good after he offered to help carry a Memphis resident’s groceries from a store in exchange for food. Matt White explained the story of the teen on Facebook.

White wrote, saying “all the while we talked and he told me how he makes straight A’s in school and is trying to get a job to help his mom pay rent. This kid was amazing. Jones kept calling himself poor, but he told me that one day he was gonna be wealthy and own his own businesses so that he could help other people in his neighborhood and buy them groceries like me”.

After conversing and offloading the grocery bags, White sympathized with the teen and decided to help him.

He later created a GoFundMe account after his post took the media’s attention, listing items needed for Jones to pay for an ID he can use to apply for a job and money that can help sustain him and his mother. First he had set a $90,000 goal, but amazingly the account has already raised $131,565. We hope this money will help the kid to find his place in this life and never feel desperate again.

This story shows how one person’s attention can improve someone’s life. As a community, we can make the world a better place by just caring for one another.
