Hillary can only dream about speaking to a crowd of more than 28, 000 supporters. However, it’s not a big deal for Bernie.
On Sunday Bernie Sanders held the biggest rally in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. More than 28,000 people came to support the candidate. He stuck to his usual stump speech, heavily hitting the Wall Street and drawing contrasts between himself and Hillary Clinton. By the way, her recent rallies were underwhelming. She barely brought out even a fraction of Sanders’ crowd. Fewer than 1,000 people came to support Hillary at her rally at the Great Hall at Snug Harbor in Staten Island. Also, Bernie held a series of events with tens of thousands of supporters in Manhattan last week.
The difference in the amount of supporters speaks volumes.
“There were 28,300 people who came out to Brooklyn yesterday, not for a rock concert, but because they care about the future of this country, and they care about taking action to make things better, to be able to put some of these strong changes forward,” Rep. Tulsi Gabbard commented on Bernie’s rally in Prospect Park.
