Investigations are ongoing into the execution of three Sudanese immigrants last Wednesday in Indiana.
The names of the three young immigrants who were brutally murdered/ executed last Wednesday, February 24, in the State of Indiana are 20-year-old Adam Mekki, 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab and Mohamedtaha Omar, 23-years-old.
The three were found dead in a home described by the police as a “party house” in Fort Wayne. The Washington Post reports that the three young men were all shot in an “execution style”, raising more questions than answers.
Chief Police Garry Hamilton talking to the local news claimed that with the number of killings, there is a possibility that the execution was carried out by a team of killers, but not just a person.
The place of execution of the three young men is a popular gathering place for teens and young Africans, and was monitored by the gang and violent crimes unit.
Visiting family members of the dead, Motasim Adam, Darfur’s People’s Association founder and vice president, quashed claims connecting the shootings to their religious background. Notwithstanding the fact that Omar and Tairab were Muslims and Mekki, a Christian, they were all young African immigrants
Strangely, this homicide took place the same week when mass shootings took place in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Kansas.
The FBI has since pledged their assistance to bringing the culprits to light.
Omar and Tairab have since been laid to rest at the Islamic Center of Fort Wayne last Saturday whiles a remembrance honoring the victims will take place today, March 1, at 7 p.m.
