On Wednesday, Weinstein Television announced that it is co-creating a show with Tamron Hall, former Today-show host and MSNBC anchor.
Hall announced her departure from MSNBC and the Today show in February, after her contract ended at the end of the month.
According to People magazine, Hall ended her time on the show after learning that Fox News’ Megyn Kelly would be replacing her and co-anchor Al Roker on their Today-show slot.
Harvey Weinstein Co. Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein said in a statement, “I’ve been working towards developing a talk show for a long time, but needed to make sure I did it the right way and with the right person to take the lead.
“When your card no longer says anything beneath it but your name, are you still you? Can you still savor the victory—the moment that you were able to take that dream? I never imagined that I would be on the Todayshow,” she added.
