The chilly news of yet another deadly police shooting that killed a couple on a date has been making rounds in California. A Vietnam veteran said military grade rifles were fired.
The early hours of Sunday, 28 Feb. documented another hideous and unbelievable police shooting that took place in Inglewood, Los Angeles County, California.
Kisha Michael, 31, and his “fiancée,” Marquintan Sandlin, 32, were mortally wounded during an officer involved shooting and were later found unconscious in the car according to James Butt, the mayor of Inglewood.
Kisha Michael is a single parent of four daughters while Marquintan Sandlin is a single parent of three sons.
According to Kishas’ twin sister, Trisha, “the police ain’t telling us nothing.”
Sadly, nothing is known as to why the police in Inglewood officers resorted to use deadly force to handle whatever threat they might have perceived or the situation might have been.
The deceased families have expressed frustrations and demand a concise explanation of the incidents that preceded the shooting.
On Tuesday, Inglewood Mayor James Butts issued a response about the incident, saying that the officers spent at least 45 minutes, attempting “to rouse” the couple in an effort “to de-escalate the situation.”
Moreover, Mayor Butt expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, stressing that “it’s more tragic because they had children.”
A war veteran Alfonso Parker, Jr. said, “I know weapons, I know that sound. You don’t use that crap on your own people.”
Considering the shell casing at the scene of the shooting death, it is obvious that military grade rifles were fired.
What do you think of the rampant police killings and what could possibly stop them from responding?
