Alton Sterling’s Family Reaction For News
After the Justice Department officially announced charges would not come for Baton Rouge police officers there is still hope.
Even after the news that the Department of Justice would not press charges against Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II who killed Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old Black father of 5, his family still has a hope. The ruling sparked outrage and caused protests.
Despite the DOJ decision, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry is considering whether to bring state charges.
For the time being Alton’s family is asking you to “remember his name,” as they love him and don’t want him to be forgotten.
