The music icon, Beyonce, has announced ‘Formation Scholars’ awards for original and creative female college students.
Beyonce announced Monday the establishment of a college scholarship for young women. The initiative is a part of the music icon’s celebration of the one-year anniversary of Lemonade.
The award is intended to support female students “who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”
The prospective achievers are supposed to be pursuing degrees in the creative arts, music, literature or African-American Studies.
First four scholarships will be awarded to one student at four colleges: Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College.
We are extremely thankful to each celebrity who’s ready to spend money to improve the education of Black youth.
