After so many years the call for justice for Emmett Till may sound surprising but we still hope it will be heard.
Jeff Sessions, head of the U.S. Department of Justice, privately met with Deborah Watts, Emmett’s cousin and the co-founder of the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation. Deborah came to demand… justice for her relative.
After Carolyn Bryant Donham, the woman whose false testimony became the cause of Emmett’s horrible lynching publicly admitted that she lied Watt’s demands sound quite reasonable. Many other civil rights groups, including the NAACP, have already called for Bryant’s prosecution.
Other Emmett Till’s killer’s, Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam, who had originally been found not guilty of murder two weeks later also confessed in an interview with Look magazine for a $3,000 payday.
Till’s case is solved and the justice must be solved. Until it’s done America is still killing Emmett Till and many other innocent Black people!
