Emmett Till’s Alleged Victim Turns Out To Be His Murderer

Carolyn Bryant, who accused Emmett Till of harassment back in 1955 admits to lying.

Emmett Till, the black 14-year-old Chicago boy who was killed in August 1955 after Carolyn Bryant claimed he “had grabbed her and verbally threatened her. She said that while she was unable to utter the ‘unprintable’ word he had used … ‘he said [he had]’—done something – ‘with white women before.’”



J.W. Milam and his half-brother Roy Bryant, Carolyn’s husband abducted the young boy, tortured and killed him.

This horrible story once again shows that white society is based on lies and bigotry and it takes more than half a century to grow the seed of shame in the hearts of these people.
