Video Evidence Reveals Shocking Details Of Terence Crutcher Shooting

Video evidence of the killing of an innocent Black man has finally been released.

A Black man, Terence Crutcher was fatally shot by a police officer, Betty Shelby when the 40-year-old man had some car troubles on his way back from night classes at Tulsa Community College. Recently released video evidence proves that Shelby murdered the innocent man while he was completely following the officer’s orders.

The unexpectedly found dash cam footage shows the victim’s hands were well in the air and he was walking towards his car before he was shot and killed. The video absolutely contradicts the statement made by the police after the incident, where they claimed Crutcher aggressively approached the officers and refused to obey commands to raise his hands. Officer Tyler Turnbough used his taser on Crutcher before Shelby immediately fired at the Black man.

“His hands were in the air from all views,” pastor Rodney Goss of the Morning Star Baptist Church, who viewed footage from both dash cams and a police helicopter prior to the public release, told the Tulsa World“It was not apparent from any angle at any point he lunged, came toward, aggressively attacked, or made any sudden movements that would have been considered a threat or life-threatening toward the officer.”

After Shelby shot the victim, the other officers paid no attention to Crutcher, who was lying on the ground, wounded and struggling for his life, as they all backed away and comforted the female officer who had just lethally shot a Black man for no reason.

“It wasn’t a matter of minutes, it was a matter of moments, Goss said. “As quick as the officer released the Taser from his hand, Terence was falling to the ground having already been shot. After having been shot, a couple minutes it appears, but it seemed like a lifetime, went by before anyone actually checked with him as far as pulse — as far as whatever the case may be”

Shelby and Turnbough, members of the police force since 2011 and 2009 respectively, were put on paid administrative leave after the fatal shooting. The Department of Justice has stated that it would conduct an investigation into the shooting.

Here we are again: another innocent Black man is dead as a result of the much-dreaded police brutality. After the officers had already stated that the man wasn’t following orders before he was shot, it appears that they lied. Thanks to the availability of recently released video evidence from the scene we got to know the truth, but it doesn’t help much. Police do their best to hide the evidence of what they are doing because the only suitable word for it is ‘lynching’ and higher authorities continue to close their eyes on the situation as it used to be many years ago.
