White Waitress Fired Over Racist Post About Friendly Customers

“I am so hungover,” a waitress at Cheddar’s restaurant wrote, “And I have a section full of n-----s right now.”

A Black Tennessee woman, Chelsea Mayes, and her four friends, Bryce Holmes, Denzel and Montel Epperson, and Nitra Kent, went to have fun Sunday afternoon at Cheddar’s restaurant in Murfreesboro.  The waitress who served them was a friend of one of the group member that’s why they were exchanging jokes with each other and left her generous tips. They were pleased with the restaurant’s services until after returning home found out that the waitress, who pretended to be nice to them, had made racist post about them.

The waitress wrote, “I am so hungover, And I have a section full of n—–s right now.”

After coming across the racist post, 22-year-old Mayes said she found it “shocking” that the waitress, who they all smiled and even joked together, could write such about them.

Mayes explained that she and her friends usually go after church to the restaurant to hang out and even thought they had made connections with the waitress. “She was a great waitress. She did a good job, made jokes with us, laughed with us. We had a good time,” she said.

Soon after the restaurant management knew about the post they fired the server.

Lee Greer, president of the Mint Julep Restaurant Management Group Inc. and owner/operator of Cheddar’s Murfreesboro said, “We, ourselves, were shocked and offended after learning one of our servers had posted comments on social media that were hurtful and derogatory. Greer added that such behaviors are never condoned in their restaurants as a result, “the server was immediately suspended and ultimately terminated after our internal investigation”.

However, Mayes has stepped out on Facebook with a viral post in which she instead of anger showed her love, “This ‘n—–‘ is pretty nice,” she wrote. “This ‘n—–‘ actually enjoyed your company. This ‘n—–‘ is praying for you. This ‘n—–‘ loves you and there isn’t anything you can do about it.”

It shows that racism is not always on the surface; some people might smile at your face but deep within they are full of hatred.
