Blair Imani is an activist and the founder of Equality for HER (health, education, and rights). Both she and her partner, Akeem Muhammad were arrested during protests in Baton Rouge on the weekend of July 8 to demand justice for the killing of Alton Sterling, an unarmed Black man, by two cops. Today, they open up about the events surrounding their arrests as well as that of other peaceful protesters.
