Police reports claim shooting happened in the 1300 block of Palmer Road at around 7 a.m. leading to the death of deceased Neshanté Davis and her daughter Chloe.
What is being described as a shocking and profoundly sad scene last Tuesday dumbfounded everyone at the Maryland home.
A woman identified as Neshanté Davis and her daughter Chloe were both found dead at the parking lot outside the Maryland home according to police.
Neshanté , a first-year teacher at Bradbury Heights Elementary School, and her 2-year-old daughter, Chloe, were killed in the 1300 block of Palmer Road at around 7 a.m. Fox 5 reports.
“This is a profoundly sad day and my prayers go out to the family of the victims of this crime that frankly shocks the conscious,” Prince George’s County Interim Police Chief Hank Stawinski responded.
The scene as described by officers as a double homicide absolutely stunned everyone. “This is absolutely unacceptable, in any civilized community, that a child should be killed in this way,” State’s Attorney Angela D. Alsobrooks added.
During a press conference Prince George’s County Interim Police Chief Hank Stawinski said, “The notion that someone would be bold enough to take the life of a child, take the life of a young woman, and think there would not be consequences is simply unacceptable in Prince George’s County.”
Police reports state that Neshanté was found with an apparent gunshot wound at the parking lot in a residential neighborhood in Fort Washington. She was instantly pronounced dead. Meanwhile her daughter Chloe was found in a car seat, taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to investigators.
What a dreadful act of violence, our prayers and condolences to the families of the deceased.
